What is the price you actually pay for the things you desire? What do you so need those things for? To define you? To protect you from what delusions you have built from your mind?

For everything within the boundaries of your existence, you must ask the question boldly and often as to why?

You want beauty, but why? Do you think of yourself as not beautiful already? To change yourself and alter what you have been given, what is the purpose of this?

You want money and things, but why? You feel this defines you more appropriately? You want to carve out a space for just you with all your things so you can separate yourself and show your luxury and power? And this will make you happy?

You want fame and much attention? A constant stream of admiration. Why? Fleeting, ever waiting for the next up draft of attention, hyper-focused on the trivial points of life.

The most important question we can ask ourselves is why we are doing what we do. Does it serve our highest good? Does it help to elevate our minds, souls and purpose.

People say they want happiness but they don’t have a clue what that is. Happiness is being at one with yourself when everything is stripped away. Every mask, every external nicety, every title and benchmark of the ego. When you can sustainability love yourself just as you are.

Modern life is a slippery slope often times filled with many doors to nothingness. A labyrinth of empty distractions. Smoke and mirrors designed to keep you in a perpetual state of seeking. Be wiser than the game.
